The basis for human advancement hinges on the dissatisfaction that comes of knowing so much about how little we know.

Brightest Explosion In the Universe Ever Seen Defies Astronomy Theories
A mysterious blast of light spotted earlier this year near the constellation Leo was actually the brightest gamma-ray burst ever recorded, and was triggered by an extremely powerful stellar explosion, new research reports.
On April 27, several satellites — including NASA’s Swift satellite and Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope — observed an unusually bright burst of gamma radiation. The explosion unleashed an energetic jet of particles that traveled at nearly the speed of light, researchers said.

Peyton Manning (470 TDs) and Tom Brady (348 TDs) have combined to throw 818 TD passes. Sunday’s game will feature passers with the most combined TD passes in NFL history, topping an October 2010 game between the Vikings’ Brett Favre (504 TD passes at the time) and Brady (236 TD passes at the time), when their combined total was 740. When Manning and Brady met in Week 5 last season, they had combined for 714 TD passes.

GAME RECAP: NEWTON’S LATE TD LIFTS PANTHERS OVER PATRIOTS IN THRILLER - Cam Newton threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Ted Ginn Jr. with 59 seconds left and the Carolina Panthers held off the New England Patriots 24-20 Monday night for their sixth straight victory when officials picked up a penalty flag on the final play.
Stephen Gostkowski’s 26-yard field goal put the Patriots up 20-17 before Newton drove Carolina 83 yards on 13 plays for the go-ahead touchdown. The speedy Ginn escaped Kyle Arrington along the left sideline and outraced Logan Ryan to the left pylon for his third touchdown of the season.
Newton completed 19 of 28 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
Tom Brady didn’t go down without a fight.
With 59 seconds and three timeouts to work with, Brady got the Patriots to the Carolina 18 with 3 seconds left but was intercepted in the end zone by safety Robert Lester as time expired.
Officials initially threw a flag on the play, apparently for pass interference, but then waved it off.
